Gauri completed her bachelor’s degree in economics from St. Xavier’s College. While doing her bachelors, she volunteered with an NGO to teach slum kids school subjects. After working in the finance sector for six months, she discovered her interest and passion for the development sector. She quit her job and went on to complete her Master’s in Public Policy from St. Xavier’s College.
She has worked with Childline India Foundation on Child Sexual Abuse as a Project Assistant for 2 years. She has also led workshops in schools creating awareness about Child Sexual Abuse.
After Childline, she worked for six months with VIVA Development Strategies as Associate – Strategic Partnerships and Programmes, handling research, strategic planning and partnerships, communication, advocacy, implementation, monitoring and evaluation. She also freelances with the PRAJA Foundation as a translator for parliamentary session transcripts. She is a national-level table tennis player. She has a keen interest in languages and has completed her basic levels in the German and Japanese.
