Prior to beginning her consultancy stint with SPG3 in January 2018, Shilpa spent six years working as Program Supervisor for the Family Treatment & Rehabilitation Department of the Women’s Prison Association (WPA) in New York City. She used her clinical expertise to plan interventions with her team to meet the needs of at risk children and families.
Shilpa has also worked with leading non profits like CHILDLINE India Foundation and CRY in India for a period of about 5 years and up to her move from India to the United States. She has vast experience in managing and leading teams.
She has received a Masters degree in Social Work from New York University and has an LMSW certification from New York. She is passionate about exploring healthy parenting practices and attachment styles.
